    dct:description "The purpose of the statistical survey on the determination of the number and composition of permanent residents shall be to prepare and publish statistical information on the number of permanent residents of the Republic of Lithuania by gender, age, nationality, citizenship, state of birth, legal marital status, distribution within administrative units of the territory of the Republic of Lithuania and other indicators of the number of permanent residents. “Permanent residents” means persons whose permanent residence is in the Republic of Lithuania during the reporting period. “Permanent residence” means the place where a person normally spends a portion of the day on rest, regardless of temporary absences on holiday, visits to friends and relatives, business, medical treatment or religious pilgrimage. Persons who: (i) have resided continuously in their place of usual residence for at least 12 months before the reference date or (ii) have arrived in their place of usual residence for at least one year during the 12 months preceding the reference date. The classifications used are: Classifications of countries and territories worldwide; Classification of administrative units and residential areas of the Republic of Lithuania (LR AVGVK 2018); Classification of territorial statistical units (NUTS).         "Nuolatinių gyventojų skaičiaus ir sudėties nustatymo statistinio tyrimo tikslas – rengti ir skelbti Lietuvos ir tarptautiniu mastu palyginamą statistinę informaciją apie Lietuvos Respublikos nuolatinių gyventojų skaičių pagal lytį, amžių, tautybę, pilietybę, gimimo valstybę, teisinę santuokinę padėtį, pasiskirstymą Lietuvos Respublikos teritorijos administraciniuose vienetuose ir kitus nuolatinių gyventojų skaičiaus rodiklius. Nuolatiniai gyventojai – asmenys, kurių nuolatinė gyvenamoji vieta ataskaitiniu laikotarpiu yra Lietuvos Respublikoje. Nuolatinė gyvenamoji vieta – vieta, kurioje asmuo paprastai praleidžia poilsiui skirtą paros dalį, nepaisant laikinųjų nebuvimų išvykstant poilsiauti, atostogauti, aplankyti draugus ir gimines, verslo reikalais, gydytis arba keliaujant religijos tikslais į šventąsias vietas. Nuolatiniais gyventojais yra laikomi asmenys, kurie: i) iki ataskaitinės datos savo nuolatinėje gyvenamojoje vietoje nenutrūkstamai gyveno mažiausiai 12 mėnesių arba ii) per paskutinius 12 mėnesių iki ataskaitinės datos atvyko į savo nuolatinę gyvenamąją vietą ketindami joje pasilikti mažiausiai vienus metus. Naudojami klasifikatoriai: Pasaulio šalių ir teritorijų klasifikatorius; Lietuvos Respublikos administracinių vienetų ir gyvenamųjų vietovių klasifikatorius (LR AVGVK 2018); Teritorinių statistinių vienetų klasifikatorius (NUTS).
